Once a month the local chapter of the Red Cross meets at our church to prepare to serve those families who have lost their homes and all their belongings due to the ravages of nature or an all-consuming fire. First Presbyterian is a designated disaster shelter. Over a dozen members are certified disaster shelter managers who are available in case of emergencies.
