Mission Statement
We, the congregation of the First Presbyterian Church of Hazard, Kentucky, being reconciled with God and with one another, present ourselves as a Church Body to know God and to seek to do God’s will. As God’s Grace and Salvation are extended to us, we are called to proclaim the Word into the community, reaching out to those in need. We understand that the cost of discipleship involves commitment, faithfulness and obedience to the Word. We believe that we should be open to change and oriented to the future while respecting the richness of our past. With God’s Divine Blessing, our gifts will be manifested for the common good of the body of Jesus Christ. Through the Holy Spirit we are strengthened and sustained as individuals and as a Church.
